Introducing our brand-new Organic Merino Wool Nature, exclusively from Austrian Merino sheep raised under controlled organic conditions (kbT). This product is entirely regional – from the sourcing of the organic raw wool to processing steps like wool washing, spinning, and finishing, all performed in Austria. Available exclusively at strick-mir-was.at and under our new brand BIOWOL.

The wool is available in natural white, perfect for dyeing or using in its beautiful natural color. Additional color options, hand-dyed with pure natural dyes, are also available.

Special Features of Our Organic Merino Wool:

• Mulesing-free: Guaranteed animal welfare standards without mulesing.
• Naturally rougher than foreign Merino wool: Climatic conditions make our wool softer than other domestic sheep's wool, yet slightly rougher than Merino wool from overseas.
• Care instructions for added softness: We recommend washing the wool with a mild wool detergent before processing. For extra fluffiness and softness, a lanolin bath can be applied:

Instructions for a Lanolin Bath:

1. Purchase pure lanolin (wool wax) and dishwashing liquid.
2. Dissolve 1 teaspoon of lanolin with an equal amount of dishwashing liquid in about 300-500 ml of boiling water.
3. Pour the lukewarm lanolin-dishwashing solution over the wool.
4. Add lukewarm water until everything is covered.
5. Allow the wool to soak for 12-24 hours.
6. Remove the wool and let it dry.
7. This process can be repeated to further increase softness.
