Healing wool / greasy wool made from Austrian organic sheep wool (kbT):
In its natural state, sheep wool contains a high percentage of lanolin (natural wool wax), which has naturally anti-inflammatory and skin-care properties.
Our healing wool is made from Austrian sheep wool from healthy living sheep in controlled organic animal husbandry (kbT). It is gently washed without the use of chemicals, so that a high lanolin content is preserved after washing.
We attach great importance to animal welfare and environmental protection, which is why all of our products are packaged in an environmentally conscious way, and some are even available without packaging.
Healing wool / greasy wool is an old, traditional home remedy and can be used in many cases:
- anti-inflammatory and skin-caring: supports and soothes, for example, sore baby bottoms, nipples for breastfeeding mothers, or umbilical cord care for newborns
- stimulates circulation: due to the special looseness of the healing wool and the many air spaces, it creates a pleasant warmth with good ventilation and helps with earaches, sore throats, coughs, or joint pain

Application recommendation & application examples:
Place the healing wool in small flakes directly on the desired area. The natural wool fat has a skin-caring and anti-inflammatory effect. The high absorbency of the wool keeps the affected area dry.
Diaper rash, diaper dermatitis:
after cleaning, place a portion of healing wool on the reddened area and close the fresh diaper. Repeat if necessary until the reddened area has healed.
Sore nipples:
insert a portion into the bra, soothes the sore and sensitive skin. Remove and replace before the next breastfeeding.
Earache:
for mild earaches, attach a portion of healing wool to the ear with a headband or cloth or place a small flake in the affected ear and let it work for a few hours. If the earaches do not improve or become stronger, please see a doctor immediately.
Sore throat:
attach some healing wool around the neck with a scarf. The anti-inflammatory agents of the healing wool thus penetrate through the skin to the irritated areas in the throat and the circulatory-promoting properties also promote the healing process.
Cough:
for example, as a chest wrap, spread the healing wool over the chest area and secure it. Essential oils dripped onto the healing wool can enhance the healing process.
Joint pain & muscle tension:
the circulation-promoting and anti-inflammatory properties of the healing wool can relieve muscle tension and counteract inflammatory processes when applied as a compress or wrap.
Notes: Healing wool can be washed by hand with lukewarm water and wool shampoo in case of slight contamination - then let it dry thoroughly. Please dispose of heavily contaminated healing wool.
