Easy to Use and Reusable

The sheep wool fleece can easily be cut to the desired size with scissors. Depending on its application and exposure to the elements, it can be reused over several gardening seasons.

Frost Protection for Plants and Pots

The airy structure of the wool provides thermal insulation while remaining breathable. Wrapped around plants or plant pots, the fleece can help protect sensitive root areas from cold temperatures and frost.

Weed Suppression and Moisture Retention

Used as a covering on garden beds or beneath gravel and other suitable materials, the fleece can help reduce weed growth. At the same time, it remains permeable to air and water and can help retain moisture in the soil for longer.

Slug Deterrence

Sheep wool naturally contains plant nutrients, particularly nitrogen and potassium, as well as small amounts of phosphorus. As the wool fibres gradually decompose in the soil, these nutrients are slowly released and become available to plants.
